Default steam cleaning for your bike?

I usually do the cleaning by myself. Recently, I saw this professional motorcycle detailing services in Detroit that uses steam cleaning. Sounds good to me because it is eco friendly. Although I have a little doubt as I am worried that the steam could damage the paint. Any ideas on this? Thanks!

I have saw some bikers do this with their bikes. I think its safe and easier compared with using a bucket and a sponge.
