df40 2008 help
Hello there. I got my df40 this summer and I'm looking to improve its preformance for best economy and speed.
There is absolutely no problem with engine, but I want to balance it out a little and if possible-tune it. I have inflatable boat( 410cm) and with all equiptment + pilot, it weighs around 230kg. As you know- gear ratio is 2.27 and max RPM is 6200, propeller is standard(13 inch). I can get to 6200 rpm in no time, but I'm not sure if it is necessary to buy a new propeller. I can get to that rpm with 2 more people on board(but it takes a little more time, naturaly:-).
So what I want to know- Is 6200 rpm limited electronicaly? If it is, can I remove it(or set it a little higher) by myself, or do I need to go to Suzuki dealer? Is it even possible to remove limiter? I think mydf40 can go up to 6500 without a problem.
Next question- is there any difference in preformance of stainless steel and alluminium propellers?
And finaly- can I tune it to higher horsepower at all?
Thanks
