Oil in #4 spark plug hole
I cant beleive what i discovered when i checked my plugs on my NEW 2005 Suzuki reno. This car has horrible gas mileage and been back to the dealer for ethe KG recall restting the tranny shift modes. Didnt fix the 15- 16 city mileage or the 18.7 combined mileage. So i thought maybe the plugs are the problem, being a DYIer, I took off the cover to check the spark plugs. This car has ONLY 8500 miles on it To my amazment , the first plug I pulled (#4) spark plug electrodes & threads was oil soaked, Inside the hole was OIL as well. You could see it inside the hole The other plugs checked out nice and dry.. My question would be,#1 IS this a defective RING seal? I called the dealer and will be taking it in Monday 7am, I am P----ED. The dealer gave me some **** and bull story over the phone that it was probably a valve cover gasket, I DONT think SO. If that was the case, wouldnt the OIL be on the OUTSIDE,NOT inside the combustion chamber?? SO NOW what? do they put new seals on the pistons? Replace the WHOLE engine? This is REALLY sad...You can believe I WILL call the SUZUKI Main office here in Brea early monday and let them know of my DISPLEASURE.. whats up with this?? Also the tailpipe has a BLACK grime inside the pipe. burning off OIL? and should they replace the catcan too???

RE: Oil in #4 spark plug hole
Id care to bet the oil was(possibly) over filled and its blowing past the PCV or breather hose...weather it was over filled or not, I betcha its gettin in through that route, thats why they make catch cans...Id also care to bet when they pull the plug it will be dry...Id also watch thier every move while working on your car, dont let it leave your sight.
