Default Samurai tricky fuel pump

After looking for an answer to my fuel pump question and finding none, i am posting this for others. When you install a new fuel pump on your Sammi, it's not going to go flush against the engine block. It will be cockeyed, flush on top and 1/2 inch off at the bottom. Turn the crankshaft BY HAND with a breaker bar while holding pressure with your other hand on the pump. When it straightens out it still wont be flush against the motor but you can then gently bolt it down until your flush and tight. You wont find that, or any other worthwhile tips in any manual, that's for GD sure!!
