I have a 94 Geo Tracker 8-valve 1.6 OHC...

Wondering if a 2.0 and tranny from a newer tracker will work.. I would prefer new 0-miles as opposed to something from a junkyard used.. my questions are

would this work? assuming Id need an ECU from one...

How much and where could I get a "crate engine"? and tranny for a reasonable price... Im fully aware that this is a big waste of money considering the car in question,, would just prefer a dealer in which I can waste less..

I believe the 2.0s make about 130 horsepower "out of the box".. any cheap bolt ons? exhaust, intake, etc.... probably going to go with Flowmaster hushpower II... what additional HP should be expected?


probably going to lift the vehicle somewhere down the road as well..
