Default 1972 Suzuki TS 250 trouble

Hey guys,

So I drive a 1972 Suzuki TS 250 and lately it keeps stalling out. I was wondering what you guys thought. Usually when idling but it's even done it in second gear while I was driving. I'm thinking it might be that something got clogged in the screen so it's not having a steady fuel flow. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Default Filler cap

You might want to try something very simple first. Losen the gas filler cap ( or take it off it needed). Run the bike and see if it stalls. Obviously if you ride the bike without the cap don't splash gas on yourself - it will burn you after a short while. If the bike runs ok with the cap lose/off then the vent valve on the cap has gone bad. If the valve is bad your best bet is to buy a new cap. Usually trying to fixing a bad vent valve is no fun. I never run across one yet that was made to be repaired.
