Good morning,I recently acquired an '00 rm 250,the kick start was taken apart,i reset spring,tested it,worked fine,I put side cover on and kick does not return.Can anyone advise please?This is frustrating ,especially *** it seems I have to pull the clutch to rest the spring(I am guessing I need to reset the spring).

Did you ever figure kick problem out? I am having the same trouble with my 2000,I think/am guessing ,that I must have(?) put the wrong washer/shim in behind the spring,I am considering attempting to use an external spring to avoid having to disassemble clutch etc. again.
