I recently bought this bike off kijiji and knew that it needed some work. So far I have found that the guy who had it before me scewed a lot of stuff up on it. First I needed a battery, done. Then a throttle cable as the one he put on was rigged on( I think it was from a dirt bike or something), done. Then the exhaust pipes he put on were terrible. He cut the mufflers off and welded on some flex hose. Which brings me to my problem. I was told that pipes from a 1981 GS1100 would fit on my bike. However I'm having sime trouble installing these pipes that I bought. They are Jardine 4 into 2 part number 4502. I cant find any information about these pipes anywhere. I ordered a Clymer manual but havent got it yet so I dont know how these are supposed to be mounted. All of the headers have numbers from 1 to 4 on them and I cant figure out where they go and where the mufflers get mounted. Any comments or help would be appreciated. Thanx in advance

 

I just checked and the bike is a 1981 not a 1982. So why dont my pipes fit it? anybody?
