1986 Suzuki GS550 Carb Leak
I am in desperate need of help.
I’ve been beating my head against a wall working on a friends bike for months now to fix a fuel leak. The carb overflow leaks like crazy after it’s warmed up and stays dripping when it sits.
Now I know what you’re gonna say: needle valves.
I replaced the needle valves and have had the carb off the bike over a dozen times now. I’ve bench tested it to confirm that the valves work. This means I turned the carb upside down, with the float bowls removed, and blown in the fuel line. No air blow-by.
I’ve also, with the carbs on the bike and full of fuel, blown into the fuel line to see if more gas would come out the overflow. Nada.
So i have literally no idea where this gas is coming from. It’s not getting past the needle valves yet it’s leaking like crazy.
