Default blown engine

i just bought a gsx r600 2007 in august and now it has a blown engine. i don't drive it hard, just city diving and highways mostly. blew the engine right after i had the oils changed. it is currently at 2800 miles on the odometer. if you have a suggestion or know how i blew the engine please give me as much info as possible because it would be helpful on my next bike.

Default RE: blown engine

What dealership did you get your service at? They could of put the wrong weight in it, forgot to put the oil back in it (sounds stupid but has happened), didnt change the filter, or a couple other of things. Doesnt sound like anything you did wrong. I think the dealership messed up on something. Next time you service your bike I would suggest doing it yourself. On the first service all they do is change oil, oil filter, air filter, and check a couple of engine things (if they are lazy they wont do that, its happened to mine). You can do this yourself and save a lot of money. If you start to hear clicking in your engine then you might have valve problems, which is something they are supposed to check for you during your first service but they often dont. You have tospecifically tell them to check it.
