I have had my 1992 GS500E for over 15 years. Would like to replace the tank, as there is paint bubbling up from the gas inside. Wondering if we should just repair it or get a new tank.

Looking for replacements tanks, but they're mostly of newer models. Does anyone have advice if a 2004 GS500F tank could fit a 1992 GS500E model? I know that after 2001 Suzuki started production on tanks that were 20L tanks, and were no longer 17L Tanks. Would this affect install?
