I have a 1995 Suzuki Intruder 1400 that wont start. I attempted to jump start the motorcycle when the battery died one morning. The jumper cables melted and caught fire. I replaced the battery a week ago and when I turn the key on the lights come on and when I attempt to start it nothing happens. The starter does not turn over and there is not even a clicking sound as if it were attempting to start. I am wondering where to start in locating the problem. This is the 1st motorcycle I have owned and I am not very familier with exactly how they work.
