I just purchased a 2001 Marauder that hasnt been ridden for a while. The person that I bought it from had an accident and hadnt ridden it since. He said the bike ran fine but the battery was just dead. I bought a new battery and will try and start it today.
My question is, for a bike that has been sitting for almost a year, what else should I do before I try and crank it? I was thinking, clean the carb, check the plug, oil the chain....any other ideas?
