S40 stalling
Okay - this is the scenario: I warm up my bike, shift into first, let out on the clutch giving it some throttle. The bike feels like it's going to stall. I shift into second, again, it feels like it's going to stall - the only way I can describe it is it "hesitates" as if it's not getting enough gas. As soon as I slow down or shift back to first, it stalls. This happened 4 times within 3 blocks of my house this morning. Not the first time either. Two weeks ago, I rode it about 20 miles, across 2 bridges, and on the way back home, it stalls again when I downshifted to first at a traffic light. Pulled over into a parking lot and it didn't want to start. Opened the gas cap, secured it. Started it only with giving it additional throttle - drove another mile and a half, downshifted to first to pull into my driveway, it stalled again. Any ideas? One of my neighbors suggested I leave the fuel **** in the reserve position. I'm a dumb female when it comes to motorcycles and don't know what to do. I can't even trust it to get me to the local Suzuki dealership and will have to trailer it to get it repaired.
