Default spark plug equivelant

i rebuilt my 1990,600 katana. but the top half of the engine is off a 96 bandit 600, it's had new rings, new gasket set,,, valve seals etc.infact the works,,,but i'm having a problem keeping it running when it warms up. the problem i believe is the plugs.,,, they're a different size thread on the new head to the ones on the old head. i put the bandit plugs in which are a resistor plug, but the ones out of the old head aren't and i need an equivelant of the bandit plug (CR 9 EK) that "isn't" a resistor plug. can anyone help?
