Default 1980 GS1000G project

Hello all! I'm new here because I've got a 1980 gs1000g, it was my first motorcycle and has since fallen into disrepair. I plan on turning it into a cafe racer to breathe some new life into it and have been running through my options and I've seen something for sale that got me thinking and I cannot find an answer, so I signed up here to see if some of the long time suzuki folks can answer. There is a tl1000s for sale in my area for pretty cheap, will that engine fit in the frame of my gs? I understand that means a lot, the engine to the rear wheel including the swing arm would have to be replaced with the TL and fabrication would be needed to mount everything, I just don't know if anyone has done such a thing? With the complete parts bike I could pull basically everything but the body and frame and fabricate it into the gs frame, thats the idea at least. Newer power, newer handling, custom style. As fabrication goes im comfortable adding to the frame to mount everything but the core structure im not comfortable rearranging. It's an idea, im open to better ones though!
