Default oil leak

I have a 1998 susuki sidekick. my son was driving it and noticed the oil light came on. he stopped and put oil in it. pulled out and the light came on again. he put another qt. in. the light was still on. he looked under the vehicle and saw a puddle of oil. we towed the car home and discovered the bolts in the oil pan were loose. we tightened them and refilled the car with oil. there seems to be no leak but when we go just a little ways the light comes on and the cars engine is rattly. we are thinking it is the oil pump. Does anyone know and if so, how hard is it to fix? debbie

Default RE: oil leak

what do you mean by rattly? if youre going to just replace parts hoping to fix it, start cheap, with stuff like an oil pressure sensor.
