Default 1988 RM250 Clutch Basket

What years will work with my bike? I am rebuilding and am having trouble finding specific parts. Also, how much wear on a clutch basket is allowable?

If there are any groove marks inside the basket then the basket is bad. Try looking for a Hinson clutch basket. These old suzuki's are the best. I've got an '03 rm250 and a '90 rm 250 and I really couldn't tell you which one I like better, it's sucks that it's getting so hard to find parts to keep these old ones going they are great bikes. Let me do some quick research and I'll try to figure out what years will work with your '88

Cheapcycleparts.com has them for 205.71. I would also try Hinson or wiseco. And after a couple minutes of research I found that 88-90 are compatable.

Well, just for now to get it running, we took a file and knocked the edges down. There was very little wear to begin with and this shoudl do for now. Talon will also make me one for it. Getting the clutch pinion replaced right now.....whew what an ordeal. I am thinking of laceing a set of supermoto wheels for it and take it to the track for kicks !!!!
