Default aerio sx upgrades!!

alright, i'm a FNUG(F'in new guy), buying my first suzuki this weekend. Its a 2003 aerio SX, 5-speed FWD.
It seems pretty hard to find some upgrades on this. Does anyone have any info. Resistor chips for this car, good or bad? sport mufflers?? what about the short ram intake, is it worth the 200-300$??? THE DAMN DRIVERS ARMREST!!!. What about voiding the warranty with the chip/intake? and which would be the most worth while upgrade? Anything, will help.
Thanks

P.S. what about soundsystems, can the stock unit handle an amp, and a 12" ?????

Ive always heard it called "F'n G" or "FNG"[sm=nothatway.gif]

Finding upgrades for an 03 are much easier and abundant than lets say an 04 or 05.

First, Id highly recommend the K&N(Ive seen them listed for less than $150) over the AEM(has serious fitment issues, rubbing and can cause holes in the sides of the intake tube, but have seen listed for as low as $100, but buyer beware!!!) Ive owned both, so for me Id recommend the K&N as it has no issues...and AEM customer service sucks!!!!

Mufflers? LawsonIndustries several other Aerio owners have used Lawson as well, all have been pleased, high quality, great tones, free shipping and low prices...you really cant beat em!

That chip you are refering to is a bad thing...just drop it, its not like a real performance chip that your thinking about....and those arent available for our car as of yet.

If you look on Ebay you should be able to find an Underdrive pulley for our cars...I believe he has 8 left, you will want to get this before he sells out...should cost you bout 100 bucks but its worth every penny!!!

There are rear swaybars by Progress that will help you greatly too...turns are so much more fun, with less body roll and much less understear.

I personally would do the UD pulley followed by the rear sway bar right off the bat, as thats where most of your benifits and gains will come from. Hope this helps some...otherwise try SuzukiSpeed

thanks short bus! i'll look into that stuff, but as for the Lawson mufflers, i've searched around and i'm having trouble trying to find a web site that sells them. Everytime i search i get sites that have cars already equipped with them. So where do i find them?

In the above post, I have a link provided to thier site...see where it says LawsonIndustries up there? Click on that and it will direct you.
