Default air intake "tornado"

air intake "tornado" hi guys has anyone used that "tornado" air intake insert? u know the stainless steel insert that swirls the air going into the intake?? i was wondering if anyone had an experience with it. i have a 2005 sx . i am thinking if i put in a k & n air filter and the tornado i could make another 5 hp. and if i change to synthetic oil maybe 6 or 7 total hp gain. tht is a cheap way to get added hp with no harm or damage and no warranty issue. wht do u think?

I read an article in Motor Trend i think it was and they said that if anything all of these save mpg and add hp schemes were just that Scams. Since i own a Mustang GT and a Eddie Bauer Expedition also i was really looking for something to help out but this aint it from what i read

I have the K&N already. This is the best thing you can do, and it pays for itself because at you have to replace air filters periodically and the K&N lasts forever (but requires cleaning). Consumer reports said that they found no increase in hp or gas mileage, so I didn't get one for my car. My theory is that the bigger the engine and/or vehicle, the more likely it is possble that it could help. With an Aerio I really doubt it would help. I would do the K&N air filter or some other type of K&N ram intake. I have an 03 Aerio and you need to order the 04 K&N filter becase that is the one that fits. They don't list an 03 filter but the 04 and 03 airboxes are the same.

My friend I am living proof that that kind of stuff does work. DO NOT get the tornado, get the vortec cyclone fuel saver at ricksdistribution.com. I bought one for my 02 aerio sedan and I have more torque alot more hp and I noticed a good difference in gas milage you could still feel the power when you drive w/ your a/c on.

I bought this for my 99 Ford Escort and all I heard was this I pitch wisel from the engine due to an imperfect seal once that thing was in there. I liked it, was annoying as all hell when I went up hills people know I was there though I return it and told myself that I would only invest in an CAI instead of this BS. It's concept works the same as the K@N and he K&N works better.
