Default Squeaky/squealing (belt?) engine

Recently purchased a 2003 Aerio sedan, 30,000 miles, black for my wife.
Had the stuck CD problem I've heard about, dealership replaced the stereo. Great now with ipod hookup etc nice..
Has the 'loose' mirrors issue I've read about. Not sure what to do. They move about an inch at the endswhen moving at speed (>45mph) so they have to be adjusted to work in 'both' positions. Irritating but life goes on. although definitely things like this make me think twice about purchasing Suzuki ever again.

Biggest issue is engine squeaking/squealing, sounds like a belt slipping or similar. Seems to be coming from the left side of the engine (as you are looking at the car from the front with the hood open), basically over by where at least one of the belts are (visible). I know it's not A/C compressor belt as A/c is turned off. Squeaks really bad when cold. Not as bad when warmed up, but it is ever present. It's high pitched an chirpy, not the usual long drawn out squeal of a bad fan belt I hear on so many old heap (jaloppy) cars.

I have taken it in 3 times to get this resolved. 2 times to a 3rd party garage and one time to a Suzuki dealership. Each time they say it's resolved but nothing has changed. Aside from being ripped off (I'm sure each time they changed the belt or something), but the noise continues. Did not see any mention of this problem on this forum but have read about other cars with a similar issues.

I've clearly ID'd myself as a non-mechanic by my wooley description above. Would love to make the squeeking go away on an otherwise wonderfully working and nice handling performing car.

Any suggestions? (be nice!)
Thanks captainK

The same thing happened with my '02. It turned out to be the belt tensioner. Suzuki first said it was covered under a recall, but ended up just replacing belt. They then quoted my something like $300 for the part... I ended up going to an independant mechanic and got an aftermarket part for about $120. It was dead quiet after it was replaced... that is until we were rear-ended about a month after and wrote off the car...

There's a TSB on the side view mirrors, go to your dealership and they'll order the new replacement parts for you. It's covered under the warrenty also.

The Aerio's Sep belt has to be replaced almost at 30k the first time. Then 50k after that one, I notice what noise after it rains and snows theres a plastic cover on the front bumper the protects this belt but since the Aerio is low as it is on the ground there's really no helping this. Also the belts tend to wear faster or slower depending on where you live in the US. I live in NM Hot and cold we get it all I have owned my Aerio since 04 new off the lot only 4 miles when I bought her. So far 55k I replace all my brakes 4 times 5 for the front. Tires at 25k. Battery twice first one died at 30k and second Aerio was stuck by lighting. Air filter replace by K&N drop in at 15k. Every 5k oil change. then minor things such as fuse's wipers.

I enjoy my Aerio SX check out my profile for pic's
