Hey everyone,

New rider here with no wrenching skills, looking for some advice. I have a 1996 Intruder 1400. I am a pretty big guy with short legs so I'm looking at having the bike lowered, if possible, while still having strong enough shocks (or switching to struts) to haul my fat butt around.. Does anyone know if this is possible with this bike? If so, can someone direct me as to what I need to buy and where I might buy it? I have a mechanic who says he'll do the actual work, but he wants me to get the kit and any other parts I'll need.
