Didnt get much response to my thread in the newbie forum so thought it may be more appropriate to post this here

I am buying a 1982 Suzuki 450 tomorrow, 22k miles, full dress, automatic transmission... thing is, I know almost nothing about bikes, I have a friend who is coming with me to check it out and make sure its mechanically sound though, however I REALLY need your help to tell me as much as you know about these bikes and preferably give me some detailed info on how to care for them, any advice you have would be useful, and no, I cant get a better bike, it fits my budget,lol... $700

Also, im in california, not sure if that really matters... but just in case, thought id mention it

Also, He says previous owner has signed for transfer of title, but he never signed it himself, he says I could just sign it and its mine, but that seems a bit to easy to me, do I also need a bill of sale proving I bought it from him which ALSO has the previous owners signature as well as his?
