My cousin had the wonderful idea of trying to teach his wife how to ride his 2000 Intruder VS800 and she ran it straight into a wall.
He said he didn't have enough time to try and work on it so he sold it to me for one hell of a price. Now I'm trying to get it road ready and tackling the most pressing issues first.
The handlebars are bent as are the handlebar holders (lifts sticking out from the triple tree).
I have found numerous replacement parts for this but the one thing I'm struggling to find is a front rim. eBay has rear rims for around $80 but from the slim picks of fronts I found in decent shape are somewhere in the neighborhood of $200.
Does anyone have any recommendations of online salvage yards to inquire about a replacement OR does anyone know the years and models that might be more readily available that I could swap out?
