Picking this bike up today, it dosnt start. Going to clean carb and air filter, check the timing, and check for spark. My question is what are the timing specs?? How many mm BTDC should the points just start to open. What wires do I connect my point checker to?? Thanks in advance guys.

 

I have a 1978 TS125 manual if you want to look in there. I used it along with the 1972 TS185 manual to figure out my 72 TS185. The two are supposed to be used together for the TS185 since it's based off the TS125. The TS185 manual is just general info pertaining to that model and specific changes due to the larger engine. Could be better than nothing. Both are pdf's.
