Default Automatic Transmission slipping in reverse

Each morning when I start my 2002 Suzuki Grand Vitara Limited, I have to let car idle for several minutes before it will kick into reverse. After that, there is no problem throughout the day. I have 160,000 miles on car and I change transmission fluid every 15,000 miles. Should I try adding a transmission conditioner fluid? If I should decide to fix the transmission, what is the best option: rebuild the one I have, buy a used low mileage one, or buy a factory rebuilt one? And, any help as to where to find such a transmission? I would like to keep this car for many more years.
Thanks,
Doug
