12 rmz250 won't kick start

Default 12 rmz250 won't kick start

Hey guys/girls I know there probably a post already out there about this but don't have time to look going up north next week and can't figure this out hope you can help so here it is
My buddy's bike 2012 rmz250 won't kick start at all I just put a new piston/rings and timing chain and the damn thing still won't kick start but you can bump start it and runs fine i checked the valves are all in spec the timing is good it has good compression just can't figure this out

I'm having the same exact issue. Was burning coolant sso replaced all gaskets, piston, and rings. Shimmed valves to spec. In time. No kickstart no bump start. Nothing. Did you figure yours out!?

Hey I am not sure if you are aware but Mudline Motorsports offers a free tech support line. I was having issues with my 2017 RMZ450 not starting last year and reached out to them, they walked me through what needed to be done and it was extremely helpful. Here is a link to their website!

So guys I need a little more info to assist.. why did the bike need to be rebuilt? Explain "burning coolant".. Was it kick starting before the top end rebuild?
