[]i FINALLY HAD TO BAG MY RENO AND TRADED IT IN. I CANNOT SAY THAT I DID NOT GIVE SUZUKI A CHANCE WITH THE PRODUCT. THIS WAS A REPLACEMENT VEHICLE PROVIDED BY SUZUKI BECAUSE OF DEFECTS IN THE ORIGINAL RENO . THE ENGINE IN THE CURRENT RENO WENT SOUTH AFTER 17K MILES REQUIRING REPLACEMENT. I NEVER DID GET A REASONABLE EXPLANATION OF WHAT HAD FAILED TO CAUSE THE ENGINE FAILURE. I HAD A STEADY STREAM OF CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS AND DRIVABILITY PROBLEMS CAUSED BY WHO KNOWS WHAT. THE DEALERSHIP FINALLY HAD TO START USING THE DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM FOR THE CANADIAN VERSION TO GET ACCURATE DIAGNOSTIC DATA. THE LATEST DEFECT WAS DEBRIS LEFT ON THE PLATE OF THE EGR VALVE DURING ENGINE ASSEMBLY CAUSING LEAKS. I HAVE GIVEN UP ON THE KOREAN SUZUKI CARS BECAUSE OF QUALITY CONTROL ISSUES IN GENERAL. IT'S TOO BAD BECAUSE THE VEHICLE CONCEPT AND DESIGN HAS MERIT, HOWEVER, EVEN THOUGH THE COMPANY MAY HAVE THE STRONGEST WARRANTY IN THE INDUSTRY, IT DOES NOT DO ANY GOOD IF THE VEHICLE IS CONTINUOUSLY IN THE SHOP AND OUT OF SERVICE.
