We are having Weapon-R make a new CAI for the forenza and reno. Custom work is ok but alot of times you don't have the same power as one that was made for the car.

The most popular homebuilt route people have been taking has been to copy the design of the defunct 360Dynamics intakes using Spectre Performance parts using a series of 45,60,90 degree bent sections. and 1 or 2 6" straight sections (one of which needs ported with sensor holes). I'm going to do mine in this manner with a slim cone filter shrouded by a heat shield on the engine side and mounted directly behind the headlight. For the summer I will attach a flex-duct to the end of the filter and run it down to fog light level for better air. In winter the flex-duct will come off for faster warmups in cold weather (I drive mainly short distances).

At any rate, everyone's interested in pics of that WeaponR when it finally gets on a car. I'm sure we'll see them by this summer!

Well i'm gonna be honest i think it's cool and what micheal said is not really true i made one myself for my optra 5 but did that with 3' aluminium tube's sold at any automotive shop here in aruba ( yes i live in aruba ) and we placed one made specially for the optra (reno) by "xalir8r" and on the dyno tune my car showed a 10hp diffrence with the other and in acceleration i have a big diffrence.
pictures will come soon i just registered to tell you that it's nicely done manbut personaly i like the bling bling that's why i chose the aluminium
greetz optra
