XL7 Anti Lock Brake Active on Dry Road

I recently replaced the right CV axle on my 2002 XL7 which required me to remove the anti lock brake sensor. Now during moderate braking on dry road I can feel the antilock brakes pulsating. Perhaps I damaged the sensor does it need to be replaced or is there a way to test it clean it or adjust it. It took some prying to get it out and some light taping around the mounting tab to get it back in. Please advise.
