2008 c50
Hey guys new to site
Have a 2008 c50 bought used has a little over 4000 miles. I've put around 900 miles or so on bike since purchased last year. Other than the Cobra pipes it appears stock and in excellent shape. In the last 3 months I've had 2 occasions where bike has shut down with solid check oil light appears. This happens during riding after about an hour or slightly less seems heat related as the oil is not low. Not sure if oil cooling unit is working because with the Cobra pipes I could not hear if it were working -- I assume it would make a noise when it engages? No manual came with bike to refer to and have not taken to shop for repairs. I assume it may be fused, maybe be blown or some sort of heat sensor not working? After about 10 minutes bike can start as normal - assume after cool down temperature level goes back towards normal. Any ideas where to start other than getting my hands on a manual.

I also just got a 2008 C50 and have a similar problem. The first day I had it, after riding for about 50 minutes I turned it off for a couple of minutes, then tried to turn it on but the electrics shut off completely. After a few more minutes it started. When I got home, the same thing happened.
I checked the battery connections - everything seemed fine.
Mentioned it to a bike mechanic who thought it might be the solenoid overheating. He booked me in for next month. Having said that, it hasn't happened again.
