I recently got a 07 Boulevard VL-1500 . Love the bike , hate the seat . There is a plastic ridge on the rear edge thats part of the rear mount for the seat . This ridge just happens to hit my tailbone . Ive heard this mentioned before and im looking for ideas. I can ride no more than an hour !

So far , ive tried =

Pulling off seat cover / foam and grinding down the plastic ridge about 1/4"...can take off much more...

sitting on 1/2" foam over the ridge

bought a 3" gel pad for the whole seat--hated it..made me feel like my arms/ legs were pressing out / down

put a 2" foam block over the back of the seat---same issue as above with the gel.

Has anyone dealt with this?? Maybe its my size ?? 6"3" -- 265 lb ??

Im not going to buy a 300-400 aftermarket seat , but next i might try one of those inflatable pads --- air/water
