Default How to replace rear turn signal on 2014 S40

I have a 2014 Suzuki Boulevard S40. I dumped my bike and broke the left rear turn signal assembly. I bought a new part and now I'm trying to replace it. It seems as though the wires to the turn signal are tucked under a chrome housing. I removed the two bolts on the left and took out the screw holding the lamp but the chrome housing won't budge. There seems to be one bolt under the fender that may be holding that darn thing on tight but I cannot budge that bolt to save my life and I don't want to strip it. Any suggestions on whether that bolt is necessary to remove in order to replace the lamp assembly would be appreciated. I already doused it with WD40. Thank you for any suggestions you can provide.
