I am going nuts trying to figure why the dimmer switch power terminal doesn't contact the high or low terminals. It is a simple plate with 3 dimples and on the moving part a dimple with the power and two others with hi and lo dimples. A spring pushes the stator plate and seems to contact the 3 other ones on the armature. Plenty of spring pressure and clearance indicates the spring is compressed, but nothing. I have a used switch unit coming from Ebay, but I am stubborn.

My current problem is a high resistance between the + cable and the large orange wire going to the 24 A fuse. I think I MAY have discovered the problem. I found that the fuse
block will disconnect from the harness and the connection is full of some crumbly white crap. It may be someone's connection enhancer OR it may just be corrosion (Hope hope) It is water soluble.
