Hi guys, I'm new to Suzuki and new to motorcycling.

I bought a pretty nice '77 GS400X that has a carb leak. I've replaced the float bowl gaskets and rebuilt the pet ****. The gas is leaking from the bottom of the float bowl. I don't really know anything about carburetors.

The diagram shows that there are two breather hoses and it looks like they should attach to the brass nipples, but I don't have these hoses--not sure if that matters. It looks like the gas is coming from these nipples.

I do have hoses coming from the top half of the cars that just dangle under the bike--what the hell are those?

Any help greatly appreciated!
