Bought my first bike today, it's a 1984 Suzuki GS450L. Got it with 14k on the odometer for $600 bucks. Looks great and fires up decently but it is only running on one cylinder. I get it running and feel to mufflers the left side muffler is hot to the touch but the right side is cold. Pulled the spark plug wires and both plugs are new but noticed when pulling the wires the metal cap at the tip comes clean off the plug. I'm not talking the spark end of the plug but the end that plugs into the wire. The little metal cap that screws onto threads on the ends comes off on both plugs. I am going to pull out the plugs tomorrow to see if they are gunned up. Has anyone had an issue with the metal caps coming off the end of the spark plugs? Also what kind of wires do I need to pick up for this bike? Any tips tricks hints or whatever to get it running are appreciated.
