New guy here, been riding for a little while. Just picked up a 2003 SV1000. My history of bikes goes back like this.
1982 Suzuki GS1100E - bought used
1979 Suzuki GS850G - bought used
1972 Triumph Tridant - bought used
1972 Kawasaki HII - bought used
1977 Suzuki TS250 - bought new
1972 Suzuki TS125 - bought new
throw in a race bike or 2 that weren't street legal
I also do the Cowboy Action Shooting and Vintage (Nostalgia) Drag Racing with a 1968 Woody Gilmore front engine dragster.

I see your first bike was a "1982 Suzuki GS1100E - bought used" That's a bike I just bought! (probably not the SAME exact one, but the same model). Mine is champagne color. Do you have any recommendation on where to find parts for it? Or do you know if your old one is being parted out? I need a fuel tank float valve assembly, among other things.

Default 81 gs450 gas tank issue

Hi new to the forum and to this bike.

Just bought an 82 GS450 when I unlocked the fuel cap the mechanism fell into the tank 🙈.

anyone experienced this before and if so did it come out or should be a searching for a replacement tank already?

any experience of this type of issue gratefully received!
