Hi,
New to this site and had a question on VIN on a 1980 GS750. It reads GS75X-508660. Is this correct. I was told 17 digits through my local DMV ? Did the older than 1981 have shorter VIN's. Should the engine serial be the same as the frame ?

So I know I'm kinda late, but I just got ahold of a 79 gs750 and mine starts out with GS750E-(then 6 digits).
