when to change to synthetic oil

Default when to change to synthetic oil

hi guys i just bought a 2005 aerio sx. it has now 158 miles. is it safe to change over to synthetic after i change the oil at 1000 miles? when should i do that?

i have used syn in my car since the first oil change, but its not an aerio. i would suggest looking around in the manual for cautions against it first.

You can run synthetic as soon as you want...but Id run more dino oil though till it was worn in good(another 5000). But yeah Id do(and did) the 1000 mile oil change either way.

the owners manual doesnt, it does say sae and 5 w 30
