Suzuki 94 intruder 800

will only start if I jump the solenoid. When I push the start button I noticed the indicator lights dim slightly. Ichecked the start button as well as the start, stop buttons and they seem good. I have an extra solenoid and tried it with no change. Also there is no voltage or continuity to the solenoid.
