Default Security code for radio?

I replaced the car battery in my '04 Forenza, and now the radio is asking for a code to make it work. There is nothing in the manual about this sort of security feature, and, to our knowledge, there is no security system on the car. (At least, this is the first indication.) Everything else is fine.

Any clue?

Default RE: Security code for radio?

Solved this one - the dealerships have a list of codes and can often look up your radio code from yout VIN. I found a fellow in a Georgia dealership who solved this one for me. I asked the local dealer why his guy couldn't have told me that, and the fellow ended up with a new opportunity for employment.
