this car was passed down from a relitive, but one owned momy driven, all of a sudden one day the transmission wouldnt shift out of first gear without help. noticed the shifter cable broken and had it replaced got the car back same issue thought for sure it would be fixed made sense. 2 transmission shops later & only guesses (that are more then the car is worth) its a regular 4 wheel drive Vitara, symptoms. if you take off in drive it will red line & not shift out of first, if you let off throttle at shift points you can almost drive it like a manual transmission, I currently take off in 2 it shifts totally fine & then around 3,000 rpms let off the gass & put it in drive., drives wonderful but why cant anyone find the issue & be confident. you can not put it in a passing gear at all it will red line. (seems to be a pressure thing) please HELP
