I have a 2002 Vitara soft top which is leaking water from rain coming into the air intake in front of the drivers windshield. All of the vents that I know of are open and not clogged since water poured into the air intake comes out of the vents, but water also leaks into the passenger compartment on the left most corner of the firewall in the foot area of the driver. I have already taken off the cowl and would like to remove the windshield washer motor assembly in order to get a better look at the lower joint in that air compartment. Can any one tell me how to remove that wiper motor assembly? I can see the four bolts in the motor compartment that holds it, but how does one disconnect the motor assembly from the mechanism inside that little air intake compartment?
