Default Headlight Wire Connection Melted

I have a 2002 suzuki xl7. My passenger side headlight blew out and when i went to change the bulb couldnt disconnect the bulb from the connector because it is melted together any idea what could have caused it to melt and do i have to take it to a suzuki dealer or can any automotive center fix it

I had the same issue with mine. What happened with mine is that it somehow grounded out and welded itself in the connector. If you go to advanced autoparts they have the 9003 connector just make sure you pay attention to the high and low beam wires and dont reverse them. It is like 20 bucks and change
