Battery access

RE: Battery access
J, this got me too! The bike doesn't have a center stand, so how do you replace the battery? Well first I recommend ebattery.com for your battery and get a sealed gel battery. You need to people to replace your battery on this one. One to hold the bike the other to replace your battery. After loosing the two bolts to drop your battery after you disconnected your battery, you will find that you come short after dropping the battery to take it out. Well what I do is have my dad balance the bike and I use a little floor jack with a thin piece of wood and jack the bike up until the battery clears. Yes you have to do the same when installing the battery too. Since the bike came with a side stand only, this is the only way for now to change your battery since the bike did not come with a center stand. I hope that this helps you.

Carefull s-50 is not designed to charge mf(agm) type batterys, they need higher charge rate than standard (not sealed up battery). You can roll rear tire up on flat board and leave on sidestand this will give enough clearence to remove battery, remember to remove negative batt. terminal first then positive last. On reinstall hook up positve first and negative last.

I just did this today. Rolled back tire up on a car ramp. Kickstand on 2 bricks. Back tire needs maybe 6 inches to drop bottom of battery box and pull battery out. You can straddle it across 2 curbs or roll it over a line of bricks and pull the middle ones out. Just have the kickstand support within reach. Live and learn. Lol.
Such a bad design. I have no idea how I would've done this without help. Keeping the battery raised and aligned with the side terminal cut outs (in the metal battery box) and wires was impossible for me to do alone.
