Default when should rad. fan turn on?

I have a 97' GSX-R 600. I was wondering when the radiator fan should turn on. It has never turned on for me, but i've only see the temp. at like 215 or 220. I wanna run it out of gas so i don't gotta drain the carbs., but afriad if i just let it idle the fan won't come on when it needs to.

i dont know the set temp for your bike, but why dont you buy a cheap syphon and suck the gas out? also, if you run it out of gas, any dirt of water in your tank will get pulled into the engine.

I know mine kick on around 215-220 but I have a 05 600. Prop a fan up infront of the bike or something, might work
