Hello, I have recently acquired a 1974 Suzuki TS 185 in original condition. The bike was not running but, after cleaning and tuning the carb and replacing the spark plug she fires right up and pulls strong thru all gears. Cylinder compression measures between 140 and 150 psi. and I am certain this machine will run strong for years to come. I have now turned my attention to the turn signals and lighting. The prior owner disconnected the signal wiring and reconfigured the wiring for the headlamp. I assume that there must have been a problem with something in the electrical system to provoke this reconfiguration. I am not familiar at all with motorcycle wiring other than the ignition and charging circuit. At this point none of the lights work. I have purchased a new headlamp (6v,35w/25w) and wired it to the original 3pin connector. I have also purchased new and correct bulbs for the signals and tail light. I have looked at the wiring diagram for this model but, not being familiar with electrical wiring, I cannot figure out how to properly connect the signals. I have reconnected the positive wires for the front turn signals inside of the headlamp housing but it does not appear that there is a ground wire for the front signals. I'm wondering if there should be ground wires coming out of the front turn signals? The rear signals have both positive and ground wires but I do not know where to connect them. The tail light is connected properly but does not work. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I have several bikes without working signals however, I feel this little TS deserves to be brought back to original working condition. 1974 Suzuki TS 185
