2000 DS80...newbie here
Hey there,
New to the site so I apologize if I'm posting something that I probably could have found elsewhere. I'm still figuring out the site a bit. I bought my son a 2000 DS80 and when I first got it, it started ok but would idle really high. I took it for a quick ride down the road and when I would clutch to downshift, the rpms would max out then drop once i let out the clutch. Then my dog knocked it over in my shop one night. So it's been an interesting start with this bike to say the least. I should also mention in the beginning it idled a little rough. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined and can figure stuff out but now it wont start and when i go to start it i get oil/gas dripping out of the exhaust right near the jug. I already took the carb apart and cleaned it well and everything was clear and clean. I've found a few sites where it sounded like the fuel/air mix could be off but I couldn't find the factory specs for the two screws. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is the second dirt bike i've bought him and the first was a japanese brand that never ran so he never got to ride it and now he's getting defeated with this one. Thanks in advance
